With Elphinstone Pty Ltd's growth, we seek to employ multiple Warehouse Storepersons to join our Yellow Iron Warehouse in South Burnie.

About Our Team

The Yellow Iron warehousing team is based in South Burnie and is responsible for the handling of the underground mining support vehicle components. Our Warehouse Storeperson will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

About the Role

Elphinstone Pty Ltd is searching for Warehouse Storepersons to join our growing team. As part of the Elphinstone Warehousing function, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate stock levels of quality parts.

As a Warehouse Storeperson, you can expect your day-to-day tasks to include but are not limited to:

• Accurately picking and packing parts
• Ensure fast follow-up on all client enquiries and delivery.
• Identify and assist potential issues that can affect deliveries.
• Inspection and maintenance of stock levels
• Maintaining communication with all company departments
• Receiving and dispatching stock

About You

You will have a keen eye for attention to detail and quality. You can develop and maintain strong positive customer relationships (internal & external). You will be able to adapt to changing work priorities and locations whilst remaining calm and organised. You will display high motivation and drive and use your initiative to ensure smooth operations.

The experience and skillset suited to this role may include:

• Ability to multi-task with different priorities within agreed timeframes.
• A current forklift licence is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Background in logistics, warehousing or mechanical trade is desirable.

Main Duties

• Engineering design, detailing & documentation of new and existing Harnesses using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD as required under the direction of the Engineering Team Lead.
• Design & detailing of harnesses in a manner that will deliver accurate data & methodology to aid the manufacturing process.
• Creation and maintenance of engineering data, including life cycle data, BOM product structures etc. when required.
• Complete engineering work to the required standards of accuracy and methodology as defined by Elphinstone protocols and client requirements as applicable. The design and development process should adhere to the Elphinstone product development procedure, Elphinstone design guidelines, Elphinstone HES specifications, recognised industry standards, design guides and practice notes and appropriate statutory regulations and codes of practice.
• Liaise with Electrical Engineers, Designers, Auto Electricians & others as required to document harness design objectives and requirements.
• Recommend any engineering improvements to new and existing products when identified.
• Ensure product design complies with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Operator and maintainer safety is paramount.
• Adhere to product development timelines.
• Completion of timecards each day.
• Follow all issued Elphinstone general policies and procedures.
• Attend any training programs as requested and mutually agreed.
• Complete any required administrative duties, 5S etc as required.
• Participate in the Elphinstone Continuous Improvement process as required.

Any other duties as required.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to read & interpret electrical harness drawings & schematics highly designable
• 2-3 years of harness-building experience is highly desirable
• Experience with harness testing is desirable.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good people and communication skills.
• Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent time management.

• The skill and ability to work harmoniously in a team environment

Qualifications:

• No formal qualification is necessary however must be able to commit to a minimum of 24 months of part-time study to achieve a Cert IV in Engineering Drafting.
• Electrical or Mechanical trade qualifications or similar would be an advantage.

About the role

The role will report to the Engineering Manager and will be working across the entire Elphinstone mining support vehicle product range.

The responsibilities and key tasks will include:

• To develop, write & edit technical documentation relating to the operation & maintenance of Elphinstone products. Documents include, but not limited to, the following:
  • Operation & Maintenance manuals
  • Parts manuals
  • Service manuals
  • Training presentations
  • Product update literature
• Recommend any engineering improvements to new and existing products when identified.
• Ensure literature content complies with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Operator and maintainer safety is paramount.

About the Role

As a Mobile Plant Technician / Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic, you will be an integral part of a small team undertaking various daily tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our product development department. Your work will be crucial in the development of new product prototypes and improvement features, as we work closely with our in-house engineering team.

As a Mobile Plant Technician / Diesel Fitter / Diesel Mechanic, you can expect your day-to-day tasks to include but are not limited to:

• Proofing engineering documentation
• Building and testing new product developments
• Fault finding, troubleshooting & problem-solving
• Undertake a variety of workshop tasks to assist the team in meeting targets

About You
