Elphinstone “wins the night” at 2025 Weld Australia Awards

Welding professionals, educators and industry leaders from Victoria and Tasmania gathered at the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV), Melbourne, on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, to celebrate the 2025 Victoria & Tasmania Welding Excellence Awards, recognising leading individuals and organisations across the welding and fabrication sector.

Elphinstone is very proud to congratulate our 2025 Weld Australia Award recipients, Tyler Sharman, Kiah McCreadie, and Matthew Swinden.

Weld Australia’s Welding Excellence Awards are the most prestigious event on the welding industry calendar. The Awards embody and promote the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality and professionalism.

The awards provide a fantastic opportunity for welders, fabricators and educators across Australia to showcase their people and their operations.
In the “Welding Professionals of the Year” category, Tyler, Kiah, and Matthew received the Welding Inspector, Welding Supervisor, and Welding Coordinator awards, respectively.

Industry colleagues were reported to be impressed with Elphinstone’s strong presence in the proceedings, commenting that the company had “won the night”.

Weld Australia CEO Geoff Crittenden said the calibre of nominees reflected a sector committed to quality and progress. “Our winners are not only delivering outstanding technical outcomes, they’re fostering growth, sustainability, and a culture of continuous improvement,” he said.
