Byrnecut purchases the 50th Elphinstone WR820 configuration

Elphinstone recently commemorated the 50th Elphinstone WR820 Underground Base Platform to be sold and manufactured at its Burnie facility in Tasmania.

The 50th machine, a WR820 Agitator 10m3, is one of two agitators sold to Byrnecut for an operation in West Africa. Executive chairman and founder Dale Elphinstone welcomed Byrnecut Maintenance Manager for International operations, Luke Cheney, to inspect the machines, then joined employees for a photograph and refreshments to celebrate the special occasion.

The WR820 Agitator 10m3 is a proven performer, specialising in bulk transport of concrete to backfill voids on numerous mine sites throughout Australia and overseas.

The capacity, backfill capability, increased productivity, and proven track record were key factors in the sale to Byrnecut.

As one of the world’s largest purchasers of underground mining trucks, Byrnecut’s specialised underground mining equipment fleet requires an efficient and targeted approach to all its underground contracts.

With experienced and skilled employees throughout the business, Byrnecut maintains a high level of quality and integrity throughout its operations.

Designed to accommodate various underground mining applications, the WR820 heavy-duty multipurpose platform can also be configured with a Water Tank with a maximum water capacity of 16,000 litres for dust suppression applications.
