About You
- Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent welder qualifications or currently working towards
- Experience working with Welding Procedure Specifications
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding and plasma gouging
- Experience with high-hardness steels (desirable but not essential)
- Able to work independently and collaboratively

About the Role
This is a pivotal support role within our Defence project team, where you'll be the primary point of contact for all administrative matters.
Key tasks will include:
- Provide high-quality, day-to-day administrative support to the Projects team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Prepare and format documents, reports, and correspondence, as well as accurately record and distribute meeting minutes.
- Coordinate site access for employees, contractors, and visitors, including managing sign-ins and issuing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Support team members with a range of administrative tasks, contributing to the successful delivery of project outcomes.
About You
You're a proactive and enthusiastic professional with a minimum of three years’ experience in administrative support. You will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and confident working in a fast-paced team environment.

Production Assembler
Elphinstone Pty Ltd is an authorised Caterpillar OEM and a leading manufacturer of quality products for the global underground and surface mining industries. In addition, Elphinstone offers niche manufacturing and engineering support in the transport and utilities sectors.
Elphinstone has more than 45 years of experience in modifying and manufacturing underground mining vehicles and currently employs 200+ highly skilled people.
The product range includes specialised underground support vehicles and surface mining solutions, including extended-distance off-highway haulage trucks and water tanks to suit Caterpillar articulated trucks.
The Elphinstone® range of underground support vehicles includes agitators, scissor lifts, delivery trucks, flat decks, fuel and lube trucks, water cannons, water tanks, motor graders and other specialised support equipment.

We have a development opportunity for individuals considering joining our team as a Production Assembler to produce high-quality Electrical Harnesses for our internal products and external customers throughout Australia and overseas.
About the Role
As a Production Assembler, you’ll arrange groups of wires into a single unit with various terminals and connectors attached. These harnesses are critical to delivering electrical signals within machinery.
No prior experience? On-the-job training will be provided.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and assemble electrical harnesses to specification.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
- Ensure harness build time targets are achieved consistently.
- Work with harness testers to resolve any quality issues identified.
- Assist in identifying and updating incorrect build documentation.
About You
We are looking for individuals who can work to timeframes efficiently and safely and take pride in their work. You will also demonstrate integrity, respect, teamwork and ownership.
This role may suit a person seeking a job change or entering the workforce. Part-time hours may be considered, including school hours.
Desired Skills and Attributes
- A positive, can-do attitude and problem-solving mindset.
- Previous experience in harness building, wiring, or a similar hands-on role (advantageous but not essential – we’ll train the right person!)

Electrical Production Clerk
Join our Electrical Manufacturing team as an Electrical Production Clerk. This role will see you working as part of an experienced and dedicated team, focused on manufacturing electrical harnesses for internal and external customers. The role is based at our facility in Wynyard, North-Western Tasmania.

About the Role
This is a key support role and will report to the Electrical Operations Manager.
Key tasks will include:
- Assisting with the provision of production documentation.
- Interpreting basic manufacturing prints to create and maintain electrical build lists.
- Assisting in the creation of electrical wire cutting lists.
- Providing administration support for the continuous improvement system.
- Assisting with the implementation of continuous improvement solutions.
- Providing general administrative assistance to the Electrical department.

About the Role
Elphinstone Pty Ltd is searching for a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to join our growing team. The role has become vacant due to internal movements. As part of the Elphinstone Warehousing team, you will oversee the general operations of the warehouse and its staff. You will assist the team in successfully meeting safety requirements and quality levels and efficiently and effectively receiving and dispatching stock.
As the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor, you can expect your day-to-day tasks to include but not limited to:
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Identify and assess potential issues that can affect deliveries.
- Review the timeliness of scheduled deliveries.
- Track inventory levels
- Order new supplies promptly
- Constantly work to improve processes
- Make suggestions for productivity improvements
- Optimize employee workflow
About You
You will have a keen eye for attention to detail and quality. You can develop and maintain strong positive customer relationships (internal & external). You will be able to adapt to changing work priorities and locations whilst remaining calm and organised. You will display high motivation and drive and use your initiative to ensure smooth operations. You should also be able to optimise day-to-day activities while minimising the costs.
The experience and skillset suited to this role may include:
- Proven experience as a Warehousing & Logistics Supervisor or similar role
- Advanced skills in MS Office
