Elphinstone WR820 Underground Water Cannon integrated with RCT remote control

Elphinstone Pty Ltd is proud to be associated with RCT ControlMaster. This project was implemented by RCT’s bespoke department, RCT Custom, which was engaged to integrate a ControlMaster portable teleremote solution for the Elphinstone-manufactured WR820 Articulated Underground Water Truck.

RCT’s portable teleremote solution works by utilising cameras on board the machine to relay vision of its movements to the operator, who can then oversee the WR820 Underground Water Cannon via remote control.

The WR820’s tramming and the articulation of the water cannon mounted on the crane is controlled by using looms and hydraulics installed and manufactured by Tasmanian-based Caterpillar OEM Elphinstone to RCT specifications. This is the second project where Elphinstone has worked with RCT Custom to apply this technology to a water cart.
