CNC Programmer / Machinist
Join our rapidly growing Defence fabrication team as a full-time CNC Machinist / Programmer. This role will see you programming and operating one of the largest bridge and gantry milling machines in Australia, which has just been commissioned as part of our $25M site upgrade for our defence contracts. The role is based at our modern facility in Wynyard, North-Western Tasmania.

About the Role
The role is a hands-on operations role and will report to our Manufacturing Lead.
Key tasks will include:
- Offline programming and simulation (Siemens NX CAM)
- Machine setup and operation (Sinumerik One controller)
- Adjust machine tool paths and settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
- Reading and interpreting drawings and technical information

About You
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant Trade or Engineering Qualification (Certificate 3 and above)
- Significant experience in CNC machining and programming
- An exceptional level of attention to detail
- Ability to work safely
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
- Ability to work to production schedules
- Willingness to contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives

Elphinstone has more than 45 years of experience in modifying and manufacturing of underground mining vehicles and currently employs 200+ highly skilled people.
The product range includes specialised underground support vehicles and surface mining solutions, including extended-distance off-highway haulage trucks and water tanks to suit Caterpillar articulated trucks.
The Elphinstone® range of underground support vehicles includes agitators, scissor lifts, delivery trucks, flat decks, fuel and lube trucks, water cannons, water tanks, motor graders and other specialised support equipment.
The existing range of products combines practical design, the latest technology and quality manufacturing to ensure each machine is safe, reliable, productive, ergonomic, and easy to service, maintain and re-build.
Our Electrical Harness Solutions team produces cable assemblies and components for use within various vehicles, including Underground and Surface Mobile Equipment and the Agriculture industry. Due to a team restructuring, we are seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our Electrical (Harnesses) department in Wynyard.
About the Role
Elphinstone Pty Ltd is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join our well-established team. As the Electrical Operations Supervisor, you will lead, coach, and develop personnel involved in harness manufacture to ensure each contributes effectively to the team's achievement of department goals and objectives.
As the Electrical Operations Supervisor, you can expect your day-to-day tasks to include but not limited to:
- Manage the allocation of work to personnel and develop shift rosters with the manager to ensure delivery targets exceed customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain systems to control the build process. e.g. Build procedures
- Review the schedule daily and liaise with electrical planners to confirm daily delivery requirements.
- Liaise with Leading Hands daily to ensure the broader team understands and can meet the required delivery schedule.
- Communicate any potential roadblocks that affect deliveries.
- Optimise employee workflow
About You
You will have a keen eye for attention to detail and quality. You can develop and maintain strong positive customer relationships (internal & external). You can adapt to changing work priorities while remaining calm and organised. You will display high motivation to develop your team through coaching and mentoring whilst being able to learn from your experienced team. You should also be able to optimise day-to-day activities while minimising the costs.

About the Role
Elphinstone Pty Ltd is searching for a Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor to join our growing team. The role has become vacant due to internal movements. As part of the Elphinstone Warehousing team, you will oversee the general operations of the warehouse and its staff. You will assist the team in successfully meeting safety requirements and quality levels and efficiently and effectively receiving and dispatching stock.
As the Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor, you can expect your day-to-day tasks to include but not limited to:
- Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
- Identify and assess potential issues that can affect deliveries.
- Review the timeliness of scheduled deliveries.
- Track inventory levels
- Order new supplies promptly
- Constantly work to improve processes
- Make suggestions for productivity improvements
- Optimize employee workflow
About You
